Pizza and Politics: Get The Dirt on the Canadian Federal Election

(Scroll down to RSVP)

Okay, so there's an election happening in October. If you've never voted before, now's the time. This election will be a tight, three-way race. That means your participation can make a difference. If you care about your community and country, but have questions about how politics works in Canada, or the role you can play in it, this session is for you. This session is also for you if you feel helpless and ignored, or just downright cynical when it comes elections, let's talk about your frustrations and alternatives for change.

Young people aged 16 - 30ish are invited to join us on October 1st at the George Dixon Centre to:

 - get the dirt on how our political system works; how to vote (this just got really complicated)

- learn about what's at stake in the upcoming election;

- bring your inner cynic;

- discuss the issues you and other young people in Nova Scotia care about; and

- enjoy some delicious pizza

Please sign up below to let us know you plan on coming.

Hosted by the Heartwood Centre for Community Youth Development and the Springtide Collective.
